Spend an action packed day at Melbourne’s favourite holiday destination: Phillip Island

After a comfortable journey in our mini-van, you’ll bike the last few kilometres leading up to the island, taking in the spectacular coastal scenery as you go. After a quick coffee break, we’ll head to Cape Woolamai for one of Victoria’s premier hikes. We’ll look out for wallabies, kangaroos, koalas, seals and penguins as well as the spectacular rock formations this area is known for. Lunch at one of the fantastic island eateries will be followed by an opportunity to try the exhilarating sport of sandboarding!

What to Bring:

Activewear and shoes you’ll be comfortable hiking/biking in; warmer/cooler clothes to change into; sunscreen, hat and sunglasses; snacks (for you, not the animals)

Meeting Point:

Hotel pick up if you are staying in Melbourne CBD. If you are staying elsewhere, we'll meet you outside St Paul’s Cathedral, corner of Swanston & Flinders Streets, Melbourne (opposite Federation Square and Flinders Street Train Station)

Times:

We'll pick you up between 6am and 7am. Drop off at around 5pm

Ride for the island

After a Melbourne city pick up, you get to know your fellow TripFitters and friendly adventure tour guide on the road to Phillip Island. A few kilometres from the island we’ll hop on our bikes for a cruisy ride, taking in the beautiful coastal scenery. One we arrive, it’s coffee time!

Hike the cape

Next stop is Cape Woolamai, where we hike our way through the national park and across two beaches, circumnavigating the cape. As we walk, keep your eyes open for kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and native birds.

Sandboarding baby!

After lunch it’s your chance to try the awesome, exhilarating sport of sandboarding. We provide the boards and give you a few pointers to get you on your way. This is an experience you’ll never forget.

Yarra Valley Adventure – Hike, Bike & Wineries/Breweries

We kick off the day by conquering the 1000 steps, then ride through to lunchtime on the purpose-built Yarra Valley bike trails. By this point, let’s face it, you deserve to relax – so the rest of the afternoon is spent indulging in the best food, wine and scenery around.
